John Rozzoni is a 30-year resident of the CNY and Southern Tier communities and has garnered experience from positions and perspectives throughout the performance art industry. After early years as a professional opera singer, he turned his attention to administration and marketing and pledged to make opera more inclusive as Tri-Cities Opera’s first Director of Community Engagement. In his administrative roles with TCO and Syracuse Opera, he is committed to artistic excellence while striving for a sustainable and progressive operatic art form that balances tradition and innovation. Through his collaborative work with opera companies around the country (Omaha, Annapolis, Columbus, Birmingham, Minneapolis) and his service on the planning committees of multiple entities (LUMA Festival, EatBing/Restaurant Week, Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce DEI, Binghamton’s Department of Public Art, Binghamton University’s Ross Fund), Mr. Rozzoni seeks to nurture a vibrant and accessible cultural life throughout the region.
